About Dr. Dawn Johnson…
Dr. Dawn Johnson is a scholar, strategist, speaker, and public intellectual whose work examines the ways culture, power, identity, and leadership shape our organizations, institutions, and everyday lives. She is an Assistant Professor and a former strategic leader in Learning & Development and Organizational Culture in the corporate realm. Drawing on experience across academia, corporate leadership, and organizational development, she helps individuals and organizations navigate complexity, cultivate influence, and create meaningful change.
Dr. Johnson holds a Ph.D. in Media, Art & Text and is widely recognized for her work on leadership, organizational culture, Black feminist thought, and the intersections of media, power, and identity. Her expertise spans leadership development, organizational culture, learning and development, employee engagement, and the social dynamics that influence how people lead, work, and thrive.
Whether in the classroom, the boardroom, or the public sphere, Dr. Johnson connects intellectual inquiry with practical strategy…helping people move beyond awareness to action. Through coaching, consulting, speaking, and media, she empowers leaders and organizations to think critically, lead intentionally, and build stronger cultures in an increasingly complex world.
